My 2015 Christmas Tree and Snoopy Decorations- Candy And Lollipops, Resin Reindeers, And Gingerbread Boys

Snoopy Cardboard Prop Decoration From Oriental Trading

I thought I would snap a few pictures of my Christmas decorations I put up this year. I am totally obsessed with Snoopy and I seriously mean that. lol  So when I stumbled across all the snoopy decorations this year I was like Oh My Goodness! I just had to get some. I bought a huge snoopy cardboard prop from Oriental Trading that stands up and I love it!

I also have my singing dancing snoopy that is wearing the hat and my other snoopy is wearing a shirt that say's Prisoner of Love. The Christmas throw pillow say's Don't Get Your Tinsel In A Tangle. I got this online from Kohl's.

Metal Christmas Stocking Hanger Kirklands Reindeer Gingrbread Girl Penguin Reindeer
I finally got a metal stocking holder that I found at Kirklands. It has pretty sparkly glittery Christmas ball ornaments on the top of it. It's so cute! I bought the snowman stocking, gingerbread girl stocking, penguin stocking and reindeer stocking from Hobby Lobby.

Here is my Hobby Lobby Snowman and Christmas gingerbread houses. I call it a gingerbread house, but I am not sure if that is what it really is.

Pink Nutcracker Hobby Lobby Gingerbread Cookies Cupcake Gingerbread House Glitter Decorations
I got a pink nutcracker that went with the whole lollipop & candy theme I got going on in my living room. I really like the candies and gingerbreads and all that stuff.

Gingerbread Boy Reindeer Resin Statue Deer Christmas Props Branson Missouri Hobby Lobby
I also got this huge gingerbread boy that is holding a sign that say's Merry Christmas from Hobby Lobby. He looks so good sitting next to my tree, huh?! He's Perfectly ADORABLE! We actually have had these 3 resin reindeer for years and years but we forgot we had them. My husband found them stuffed way in the back of our attic. Poor little lost reindeer. So happy we found these things again. We bought these little reindeer guys in Branson a long time ago. We have two matching reindeer that look just like these little reindeer that are 5 foot tall. We couldn't get them out this year because we did some remolding on the house and don't have room in our living room anymore. I may have to put them in the kitchen if I can find room.

Gingerbread Boy From Hobby Lobby And Icicles and Candy Decorations Hanging From Ceiling
I picked up 2 glittery gingerbread cookies from Hobby Lobby and I hung them from the ceiling with my glitter candies and strung some beautiful icicles with them.

DIY Bath Bombs

1 Cup Citric Acid
2 Cups Cornstarch
1 3/4 Cup Baking Soda
Food Coloring
Essential Oil

Mix all of your dry ingredients together in a bowl. If you want to tint it a color then just add about 6 drops of food coloring to a small spritzer bottle of water. Spritz the mixture until you get the color you want. Add water slowly to mixture so it does not fizz.

Check consistency of powder with fingers. When you are able to pack the mixture then you can stop spritzing.

Add 5 drops of your essential oil and mix really well. Pack your mix into a muffin pan or bath bomb mold. Let set and dry for about 2 hours. Pop out carefully when done and toss into the bath tub.

4 Easy Ingredients

Here is a really simple recipe to make your DIY Sugar Scrub.

DIY Sugar Scrub by Glitter Lambs- Beauty Tips
Grab a bowl and add 1/2 cup of Granulated Sugar.

DIY Sugar Scrub by Glitter Lambs- Beauty Tips
Add 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar to the bowl.

Add 1/3 Cup of Coconut Oil to the bowl.

DIY Sugar Scrub by Glitter Lambs- Beauty Tips
Add 5-10 Drops of Your Favorite Essential Oil to the bowl.
Such as:
Vanilla
Wintergreen
Honeysuckle
Grapefruit
Orange
Lemon
Lavender
Lime
Mandarin
Nutmug

Mix all the ingredients up with a spoon. Then pack your sugar scrub into a jar and put a lid on it and then sit it next to your sink. You can use this to wash your hands the next time your at the sink.
Just scoop out a small amount and rub it all over your hands. Rub the mixture over your skin to remove dry or dead skin. Then rinse the sugar scrub off and dry your hands. Your hands will feel nice and soft after this scrub. The coconut oil will hydrate your hands and leave behind smooth skin.

Sugar granules are good for exfoliating your skin and getting the dead skin cells off. You can also use this in the shower but please take extra caution that you do not slip in the shower. The coconut oil can make your shower floor slippery.

You could actually leave out the essential oil and just use the coconut oil with the brown sugar only. This smells really good and has the same effect. I actually love the smell of the brown sugar. However, it just won't leave behind a scent when you rinse it off. The essential oil is what leaves behind a smell so if you omit that then you won't have a lingering smell left on your hands. The coconut oil will stay on your hands and make them soft.

DIY Shabby Chic Unicorn Birthday Party

DIY Shabby Chic Unicorn Birthday Party

In the above picture is one of my husbands wooden vases he made. I wanted to give it a shabby chic look so I made my husband spray paint the wood in a blue Krylon color.

He gave it one coat and lightly misted the wooden vase to give it that shabby chic look. Just what I was going for!!! I love this color blue and it looked really good over the wood.

Here is what it looked like when it was finished. Looks good, huh?

Here is the spray painted card holder and wood slice. The wood slice has a hole drilled in the top of it. Sorry that the picture was not more clear.

Next we took a larger wood slice and spray painted this the same way.

We made sure to let the wood still peer through. After these dried I took them and used them in my Unicorn Party pictures.

Here is the shabby chic wooden vase and I added some colored straws down in it. I placed the Unicorn Punch card I made down into the wood place card holder. I used a unicorn rubber ducky to go with the theme and just sat all this on a wood slice. The rainbow colored ring you see is just a bracelet that was bought at the dollar store. You could easily make something similar by just taking a round circular bracelet and wrapping some colored yarn around it.

I made some blue punch and floated the unicorn rubber duckies in it and the mason jars were turned into drinking glasses. I just used some light pastel colored cupcake liners and turned them upside down over the mason jar and twisted the lid on. I then poked a hole through the top using a pen and then added the colored straw down in it. The cupcake liners didn't fit real well over the mason jar and I had to smooth them out the best I could before I twisted the lid on.

I used the wood slice with the drilled hole in it and hung it on the wooden vase. I used a black sharpie marker and wrote the words "UNICORN PUNCH" on it. I made the unicorn look like he was a horse and was pulling the straw filled wood vase just to be funny.

Here is the rubber ducky unicorn's floating in the punch. Nice day for a swim!

Unicorn Ideas:
  • Can't find a table cloth color that goes with your Unicorn theme? Try going to a fabric store and looking there. You can find tons of different colors and designs that would work.

  • The unicorn rubber duckies can bought online through Oriental Trading. Add them to the top of cupcakes, cakes, or float them in the punch bowl.

  •  Buy a Unicorn Mold and pour colored punch into them and freeze them to make unicorn ice cubes. Add them to the drinks when it comes time.

  • You could make some really cute unicorn cupcakes by frosting a cupcake with pink frosting and then making a frosted candy sprinkled unicorn horn on top of the cupcake. Just take a pointy ice cream cone and frost it then cover it with sprinkles. Then just stick it in the cupcake. This will look like a unicorn horn sticking out of it.

  • You could do waffle cones and dip them in white chocolate and do edible glitter on them.

  •  Take an ice cream cone that is shaped in a point and wrap it in tinfoil covering it all up. Then take some pastry dough or croissant dough and wrap it around the foil. Bake according to directions. When cool, slice the cone and tinfoil out and fill the pastry with something tasty. And there you have some homemade Unicorn Treats.

  • To make some cool centerpieces just fill a tall glass vase with gumballs and stick really tall swirl lollipops down in it. They resemble unicorn horns.  For a non-edible centerpiece try filling a glass vase with some pebbles and then layering some grass on top to make a landscape and then add a tiny plastic unicorn. It will look like a unicorn land. Add some extra's to really make it neat looking. Add a glowstick in it to make it glow!

  • To make treat bags for kids try buying some white lunch bags from Walmart and adding a large unicorn picture to the front. Just print some unicorn coloring pages off and cut them out using some decorative cutting scissors and then tape them on to the front of the lunch bag. A lot of work but really cute.

Here is the printable Unicorn Punch Template if you want it. This will print on an 8.5x11 sheet of card stock. If you need to make more of these with your own words then just download this on to your computer. Then open in your paint program. Then just copy the image and add it mutlitple times on your sheet of paper. Change the words by erasing the Unicorn Punch words and adding your own.
